Making Housing Count

Making Housing Count was a wide ranging policy and research programme that provided a comprehensive evidence base highlighting the key issues affecting Greater Manchester housing markets. The study aimed to provide policy makers with an understanding of the impact that the changing economy has on markets to inform the development of a sub-regional strategy for housing that will support the long-term economic growth of the conurbation.

The programme was delivered during 2006 and 2007 a consortium of research consultants led by ECOTEC. The commission produced a range of outputs to inform, support and influence the development of policy at a local, regional and national level.
